This book is called the Master’s Key because the sum total of the message of Jesus’ ministry is locked up inside The Lord’s Prayer as Jesus offered it. Paul says:
The writing of this book was like a birth as I became aware of the power locked up in the Lord’s Prayer and how powerful it can be when said in agreement. The Bible relates how Jesus taught his disciples to pray.
It is beneficial to read about other people’s revelations, but the only way that truths, even profound truths, can affect growth in anyone’s life, is when a personal revelation happens between the Giver of Truths and the receiver.
I am more appreciative of revelation from God because it comes with responsibility. I have encountered the Lord’s Prayer in my own life, and I find it to be consistent and predictable. The whole process was an exercise in faith, and I can truly say that God spoke through so many different ways during the writing of this book. I was amazed at how God revealed Himself, even in the mundane everyday things.
The church of today is full of believers, and not enough disciples. You can at least agree with me on this: that we are not called to make believers but to make disciples. Discipleship is God’s heart desire for His people. The Lord’s Prayer has the power to unleash us from just being believers to becoming disciples as we allow Jesus to move into a more prominent place: a place of Lordship in our lives.
